This production toured both in English and In isiZulu to Gauteng primary schools in February, August and September 2016. The play is about a library, where, just like in all libraries, the rules are clear: "No shouting". "No food or drink allowed". However one day a special guest enters the library: a lion, and sine there is no rule prohibiting a lion from entering, he is allowed to stay. To everyone's amazement, and to the delight of the children, the lion adapts to life in the library.

The Department of Arts and Culture has contributed in real terms to the NCTT's goal on continuing to develop and extend a passionate commitment to presenting theatre touring productions to all children of South Africa. Theatre is one of the oldest forms of entertaining for human civilizations. Plays are a means to not only tell stories, but also to explore cultural conflicts and values. Without the grant we would not have been able to achieve our objectives.

February - June 2016

The diversity and dynamism of the cast, and the slick and bold stagecraft, inject energy and entertainment into the text resulting in an outstanding performance, engaging with it's young audience across the country, stimulating debate about politics and moral codes.
